"Congratulations! You have been selected for the opportunity to purchase tickets to Connecticut Day at Fenway Park - Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 8:05 pm vs the Los Angeles Dodgers."
I never win anything!!! The next day, i went on line, entered my special "winner" code and voila, 3 days later, the tickets were in my mailbox! (They are now in my purse!)
I'm so excited. But it's also Father's Day. And I couldn't be at Fenway Park ON Father's Day without acknowledging my Dad. So I made up a nice little sign... "Love and Miss My Own Big Papi" and I inserted a picture of him sitting at Fenway in 1995... it's a fitting tribute I think. I am very excited!
We have a whole day planned: walk the warning track, visit the World Series Trophies, watch batting practice... and oh yeah, they play the game at 8pm! (On ESPN, check your local listings!)
I'm hoping to have a Cuban Sandwich at El Tiant, which is a concession stand named after former Red Sox pitcher Luis Tiant (He used to do commercials for Fenway Franks and the tagline was him saying "It's great to be a weiner" (thick Spanish accent). According to the Red Sox website, they also have some concession stands with "healthy options", so we'll see what they offer. I'm not going to count every calorie, but I'm also not going to eat everything in sight, either.
Anyway, I had a lot to do today, but I started the day off with a big healthy breakfast: Egg Beaters omelet with fat free cheese. Low Fat turkey sausage links and some nice fresh berries. Delicious. And beautiful. see for yourself.

I'm off to bed. have to back my purse. Charge the GPS.... lots to do.
I'll post about the food at Fenway Park when I get back.
GO RED SOX!!!!
